Can you believe that spring break is upon us already? If you are taking the opportunity of no school to travel, we wish you a safe and happy trip! If you are not traveling, you may be wondering what you are going to do with the kiddos at home all week long. Looking for low cost activities can be a bit of a struggle, but don't worry, the library has you covered! We have an exciting week of activities planned from Saturday, March 14th through the 21st. The best part about these activities? They are free!
Saturday, March 14th at 10am - Love on a Leash
We will kick off the week with a fan favorite, Love on a Leash! Who doesn't love some puppy cuddles? Love on a Leash is a group of volunteers with therapy dogs that travel to different locations, sharing the love of their gentle pups. We encourage our young patrons to grab a book and read to these attentive, furry friends, or just simply say 'hello' with some kisses and scritches.
March 16th, 18th, and 20th
While we will not be having story time the 16th or 17th, we will have fun activity kits to pick up for an at-home adventure on the 16th, 18th, and 20th. These packets will be available while supplies last.
Tuesday, March 17th from 9:30am-5:30pm - Special Edition Spring Break Lego Club
We know Lego's are a huge hit for young learners! These building bricks allow children an opportunity to create whatever their imagination thinks of. We typically have Lego Club the first Tuesday of each month from 3-5:30pm, making it the perfect after school activity. However, we are hosting a Special Edition Spring Break Lego Club that will last all day long! This event is come and go, making it perfect to squeeze into your schedule wherever you see fit. There will be a fun challenge, or you can create your own! We will have an Andy’s Ice Cream coupon available to those who complete the challenge, while supplies last.
Thursday, March 19th - Board Games
Feeling competitive? We will have board games out on Thursday, March 19th! You can stop by with friends or family to fight for a win, or just have a good time.
All Week
We plan to have yard games, bubbles, and chalk set up outside all week, weather permitting. So, stop by sometime to enjoy the nice weather and leave us a beautiful drawing on our walkways!
