International Games Month - at Your Library
Did you know that November is International Games Month? Whether you are a board game enthusiast or a video game expert, this month is for you!
Games bring people together, and that is exactly why the American Library Association coined November as a month to celebrate games. Each year, sponsors rally together to support libraries across the world with games for various events throughout the month of November. The sponsors, along with the American Library Association, recognize that games of all kinds are educational, recreational, and offer a social outlet for all. No matter the occasion - parties, family reunions, a night with friends - games are always a means to get people talking, interacting, and brains working.
To celebrate International Games Month at the library, you can check out one of our Game Learning Kits. We have a kit for all ages including; preschool, younger elementary, middle elementary, teens, and adults. These kits each include three to four board or card games and check out for one week at a time.
We will also be hosting a Teen Game Night on Tuesday, November 10th from 6 - 7pm. All teens ages 13 - 18 are invited to come and play various video, card, and board games. Grab your friends and join us for an evening of laughter, fun, and connection!
