What Shark shows can I watch on Kanopy?
Kanopy has a variety of shark related shows and movies that you can watch. Here are just a few:
Shark Reef - Saving the Ocean
“Saving the ocean is not just another doom-and-gloom TV show: it’s about people solving problems. The news is grim: overfishing, pollution, coral reef troubles, and on and on. These problems are spread all over the two-thirds of the globe that is ocean. But a far-flung group of unsung heroes - scientists, conservationists, local communities - are hard at work inventing, advocating, and implementing solutions.”
Sharks
“Exceptional imagery depicts these amazing sea dwellers in a new and different way, as they’ve been around long before dinosaurs. The white shark, the hammerhead shark or the whale shark can all be seen at a first-hand experience.”
Shark Bait
“Shark Bait is an adrenaline-fueled high-concept survival thriller that sees a group of spring breakers left stranded on a jet ski in shark-infested waters off the coast of Mexico.”
Sharks of Hawaii
“Discover surprising facts about the sharks that call the warm waters near Hawaii’s islands their home. Meet the Whitetip reef shark, Whale shark, Tiger shark, and more through the lens of remote sensor cameras and new drone technology.”
Sharknado: Feeding Frenzy
“What began as another Sci-Fi creature feature has now become an important piece of pop culture - poised to take over the entire world.”
Sharks: Stewards of the Reef
“This film examines escalating threats to shark population including habitat destruction of reef ecosystems and over fishing that are causing Pacific Reef shark populations to plummet. It examines the most brutal assault threatening shark abundance: that of finning sharks for shark fin soup. Compelling interviews with leading marine biologists and conservationists reveal these driving forces behind the drastic reduction of many shark populations.”
Whether you are an avid shark fan or not, Kanopy is a great service to check out for a variety of streaming options.
